Roles and Responsibilities:

This position develops processing machines production plans for batch execution; Manages urgent requests raised by Finishing Section; Prepares plans with Engineering department for preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery effectively; Reviews production reports to rectify issues being raised in the production process; Examines data on energy consumption of allocated machinery; Formulates reports on energy consumption to analyze energy costs; Guides team to run processing operations according to machines’ efficiency. Area of responsibility includes but not limited to ensure optimum utilization of machinery, timely execution of orders and to reduce energy costs. WITHIN the limits of quality and EHS standards, management directives and IL corporate policies & procedures.

Qualification:

B.Sc. Chemical Engineer // MSc. Chemistry or equivalent degree holder

Experience:

8~10 (inclusive of 4-5 years in a managerial role) years of experience in the field of exhaust, dying, bleaching and washing in a large scale knitwear manufacturing concern

Skills Required:

Sound knowledge of dyeing mechanism and sufficient knowledge of dyes & chemicals used in textiles, Sound knowledge of quality standards and parameters, Sound knowledge of health and safety standards; good knowledge of yarns types, behavior, properties etc.; basic knowledge of socks manufacturing system; good knowledge of IL MIS as Hosiery Management System, Inventory Control System etc.; good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, PDCA, 5’s, TPM etc.); basic knowledge of costing modules; Good knowledge of types of behavior of fabric
