Job Description:
Main job purpose and key accountabilities:
- Ensures that the retailer’s demand is met by supplying the right products at the right time.
- Monitors wastage at each outlet and makes full efforts to ensure that wastage is reduced to the minimum degree.
- Ensures that sales agents are servicing every specified retail outlet in their respective sectors.
- Identifies potential sales outlets and makes efforts to supply company products to such outlets.
- Monitors costs and benefits of gifts and sampling schemes to ensure that the scheme is being implemented in a carefully controlled manner.
- Ensures that non-routine demands from any special customer are followed up to develop long-term relationships with such customers.
- Ensures that company products are displayed in a prominent location at the retail outlets.
- Ensures that special displays to highlight company products are arranged as part of product introductions/promotions at specially targeted sectors.
- Introduces merchandising aids e.g. display boxes at retail outlets and instructs retail outlet owners/managers in the effective use of merchandising aids.
- Reports on all competitor activity and information in informal and formal (where specified) manner to Area Sales Manager and RSM.
