NLEs are responsible For:
- To review the footage in a sequence in order to assemble it into the final product.
- To select and combine the most effective shots of each scene in terms of forming a logical and smooth running story.
- To organize and string together raw footage into continuous whole according to scripts or the instruction of directors and producers.
- To review the assembled film or edited videotape on screens or monitors to determine if corrections are necessary.
- To ensure the quality of content meets the standard of channels with respect to the particular need of that channel in terms of audio/video quality, language, subtitles, censorship, demographics etc. in the process of film rendering.
- To pan scan and insert appropriate breaks in the provided content.
- To make the project file in mpeg2 format and arrange the backup of the movie in avi. Format and compile it together for future concerns.
- To make the titles, footers, composite and individual promos, insert timings and work on sponsors list.
- To coordinate with the transmission department in terms of uploading the content.
- To ensure the instructions provided by the Program Manager and Cue Sheet is being managed accordingly as well as engaged to get constant feedback from the Program Manager for his/her assigned task.
- To be flexible in terms of rotation and timings in different channels within the company.
- Hands on experience in adobe, premier, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe after Effects, Corel Draw & 3d Studio max is required.
- Efficient in operating concerned software
Skills and qualifications
- Intermediate / Bachelor's Degree
- Five or more years of experience in Broadcast
- Hands on Final Cut Pro software
