The Research Associate will be required to assist the Head of Research in the following areas:
- Support with in-house research (primary and secondary) on microfinance sector in Pakistan
- Support in preparing PMN research publications
- Provide support in organizing events, meetings and consultative workshops on research initiatives
- Coordinate with microfinance providers, consultants and other organisations on information exchange
- Manage PMN membership applications under guidance from the Head of Research
Education and Experience Minimum Requirement:
- 0 to 3 years of work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of econometric frameworks through coursework or work experience
- Ability to analyse micro data in STATA
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel domestically
Following would be an asset:
- Good knowledge of impact evaluation methods either through coursework or work experience
- Ability to differentiate between and analyse qualitative and quantitative data
- Experience in data collection and survey monitoring
- Familiarity with the microfinance sector
